Our client is a well-established and successful co-ed Christian Primary School with a committed team of 36 personnel and over 300 students from Reception to Year 6. This popular school cultivates an optimistic, caring, and encouraging culture. The school is located at Mt Barker, a growing and vibrant community.

This newly created 3-days per week, permanent part-time Receptionist role, is for an exceptional candidate who has a brilliant attitude, is positive, discreet, warm-natured, caring, supportive, and efficient. The ability to work with people across all levels, and in particular, supportive and comfortable with young school children and families.

As the first point of contact, this professional represents the School well and possesses an excellent warm telephone manner. This dynamic, front person excels in customer service, and creates a welcoming ‘front of house’. Good relational and communication skills, high attention to detail, able to prioritise, and adapt to changing needs. This role requires discretion, initiative, intelligence, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and meeting deadlines.

The role will report directly to the Principal and/or delegate, as required. In executive management support, some secretarial and administrative skills are essential to assist the Principal, Deputy Principal, and Business Manager. This includes the management of the Principal's electronic calendar, daily planning, scheduled appointments, and meetings.

In administration and communications support, your responsibilities are to maintain office and document security; prepare, distribute school communication; maintain student database; provide additional support to staff and students as directed; receipt monies and EFTPOS transactions, and maintaining First Aid.

Certificates in Mandatory Notification, Working with Children Check (WWCC), and Senior First Aid in an educational setting, must be current or obtained prior to employment. Future renewal will be provided by the school, and any other training and professional development will be at the discretion of the Principal.

Applicants must have excellent receptionist experience, working comfortably with face masks when required. Any Reception experience working within a Medical Centre is an advantage.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential. A good typing speed of 60 wpm and accurate data processing is expected. Training will be provided on the PC School system.

This part-time role offers 3-days per week and provides significant flexibility for more family time during the school holidays (working 43 weeks of the year and paid weekly). In addition to this, a 17.5% annual leave loading is paid at the end of each calendar year. The salary package is pro-rata to the total permanent full-time equivalent.
