An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Business Director to join the Executive team of the Head Office of a group of around 50 private learning communities (high schools, primary schools and child-care centres) in SA/NT and WA. Their office location is in close proximity of the Adelaide CBD.

The Business Director will need to provide great leadership and foster innovation in the workplace including member learning communities. The dual responsibilities of the supervision of their internal Finance team and the advisory/coaching of the Group of Learning Communities are both exciting and challenging! This senior executive role is hands-on, working collaboratively with Business Managers to improve on their finance/business management operations including improvements on systems, reporting and processes.
The CA/CPA qualified incumbent with Commerce or Business qualification must have proven experience in commercial finance/business management roles, although not-for-profit or education sector experience would be highly regarded.
Directly reporting to the Executive Director, this role is diversified and will require a professional who is flexible to deliver the leadership management, financial/business support and coaching required for the member Finance Managers. The member Finance Managers will be accountable to the Business Director for the management and timely reports of the finance/business operations of their entity. All financial and business operations and annual audit/reporting must adhere to their internal policies and procedures and must meet all compliance standards.
The Business Director will ensure that all the learning communities' financial and business operations are properly documented and data are reliable, accurate and transparent. This will also require advise on business loans, administer and distribute government grants to member schools and organise regular group training meetings.
The candidate must also have excellent computer literacy and ICT knowledge.
This role will involve some travel and will require your own vehicle.
