A long established Multi Award Winning, a 'high-end' residential custom home building company, known for their stunning, innovative, eco-friendly homes has an amazing opportunity for a Construction Supervisor to start immediately.

For over 30 years in SA, our client has been working with discerning customers and gained much respect from the community and industry with recognitions by both HIA and MBA as a high quality and innovative builder in the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula, south of Adelaide. Join their professional dedicated team in building projects in new homes, extensions and renovations.

Their culture is integrity, respect, professionalism and customer care. The Supervisor as part of the management team should have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, high work ethic, supportive, loyal, honest and relational nature.

The applicant must possess high-quality skills in Building (Domestic Construction), ‘hands on’ supervisory and management of onsite teams and able to project manage and coordinate up to 15 projects at one time. Other key skills are customer service, communication, planning, organisation, time management, problem solving, attention to detail, multi-tasking, mentoring and motivating the team, working closely with the Construction Manager, the client, onsite employees, sub-contractors, suppliers and operations staff to achieve the desired outcomes.

 

Reporting to the Construction Manager, the key responsibilities are:

  • Support and report to Construction Manager on the progress of all sites
  • Effective time management in planning, prioritising tasks and responsibilities

  • Excellent project management of all building projects through all stages to handover

  • Overseeing, managing, coordinating and effective communications with operations, onsite staff, subcontractors and suppliers to promptly deliver to set plan, deadlines and budgets

  • Professional service and personal customer care in understanding and meeting clients’ needs

  • Ensure all paperwork is accurately and timely completed/submitted, print or soft copies

  • Conduct monthly performance review for continuous improvements and growth

  • Keeping abreast of related industry trends and developments to services provided to clients

  • Good personal and professional representation of the company at all times

  • Ensure the company’s WH&S policies and procedures are adhered to

  • Up-to-date knowledge of the South Australian Building Standards and Laws

 

A current Supervisor’s License for single and double-storey residential homes, current Driver’s License are essential, a General Builder’s Licence for residential homes would be a great advantage; and preferably a minimum of 4 years of project management experience. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and general IT skills are required.

A company vehicle will be supplied and remuneration is in accordance with Fair Work and the Building & Construction Industry (SA) Award.
